Charles House was originally the Neil Forman Building, which formed part of the old Nottingham Central Hospital. It was converted by Lace Market Properties into 45 residential apartments, keeping many of the original features.

The Pavilion was originally completed by Gilbert and Hall Ltd in December 2003 and consisted of 42 one, two and three bedroom apartments. In 2016 planning permission was granted to build 8 further two bed apartments within the roof space of the building. 4 Apartments have been completed and the remaining 4 will be completed by September 2017, taking the total number of apartments within the building to 51.

The development is located in a regeneration area to the North of Nottingham City Centre on the corner of Gregory Boulevard and Russell Road.

Risley Property Management took over the management of the apartment block in May 2006. Pavilion Nottingham Ltd also acquired the freehold in 2006.
